Thank you for taking the time visit us and thank you for reading. I am elated that we have new, officially licensed products!
The focus of this post is to highlight inspirations that have influenced my journey, my day one with this company.
My story starts with my education and the life long friends I met. Education shapes us dramatically. We walk away with a degree which certainly opens doors, but it's the valuable life lessons and skills you learn that can have a profound impact on your life; time management, perseverance, taking responsibility, learning how to communicate, confidence, and the importance of GOOD friends are a few examples.
For most of us, school is just what you do, and we tend to take our access to education for granted. I admire the selfless, those that dedicate their time, dedicate themselves to help others. A great friend, Clemson graduate and fanatical fan, Chris Hinson, is one of those people I admire and is a source of inspiration. He has dedicated his life to helping others, while improving access to education. Chris's story includes taking on additional work to pay college tuition for Innocent, a young man he met from Northern Uganda in 2007. In 2016, Chris moved to Seeta, Uganda to improve education for underprivileged youth in impoverished areas. I am excited to partner with Clemson's Panhellenic Society to raise funding and awareness for Circle of Sisterhood next week.
For too many girls and women around the world, access to quality education is often limited. Two thirds of all illiterate adults in the world are female, and not even seven percent of the world’s population has a college degree. Education is an answer to many of the global issues related to women – poverty, oppression, misogyny, brutality. Ultimately, more and more educated girls will mean stronger and healthier villages, communities, and entire countries.
Quality schooling is the great emancipator from poverty and despair and will provide a better life for a woman and her family. The Circle of Sisterhood exists today to help make that better life possible for women and girls around the globe, through education. https://www.circleofsisterhood.org/
Please support our vision to use artistic collegiate designs to create stronger academic and community ties. During Circle of Sisterhood week (March 6-10), 40% of proceeds will go to charity.
