Amelia Blair Langford is a professional and leading illustrator, graphic designer, event coordinator, muralist and the creator of “The Treasure Hunt” project. She currently works and resides in Richmond, Virginia, United States.
Langford has designed for several clients both nationally and internationally. She is also the world map illustrator behind author’s Sean Mitchell’s paperback novel, “Might & Majesty: Baptism by Fire”.
She has been in a remarkable amount of solo and group exhibitions throughout the nation including recent shows, “Natural Wonder II” Clemson City Hall, Clemson, South Carolina; “Young & Artful”, Visual Art Center of Richmond, Richmond, Virginia; “6x6”, Rochester Contemporary Art Center, Rochester, New York; “Comic Art Anthology”, Suffolk Art Gallery, Suffolk, Virginia; “New & Old”, The Parliament Arts Organization, York, Pennsylvania. Langford’s solo exhibition and clothing line, “The Hunt” was release at New Normal Apparel in 2014 and she continues to create extraordinary designs for their line each season.
Langford has been recognized for her professionalism and design work as she has received several recognitions, awards and publications. She was recognized as one of the top young artists in Richmond, Virginia by Visual Art Center of Richmond as well as the recipient of the Philip B Meggs Scholarship.
Her on going project, “The Treasure Hunt” is an illustration-based series inspired by three family-owned farms that inhabited natural treasures from within. Langford has continued to expand this project with the concentration in ink and graphite studies through the United States; including artist residencies such as the Grin City Art Collective in Grinnell, Iowa and The Rensing Center in Pickens, South Carolina.
